Welcome to Plant Anywhere ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Plant Anywhere. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Plant Anywhere web application at app.plantanywhere.net, the Plant Anywhere mobile applications for iOS and Android, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, clicking "I agree," or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
You may create an account using an email address and password, a Google account, or continue as a guest. You are responsible for:
Guest accounts store data locally in your browser. If you clear your browser data, guest data may be permanently lost. We are not responsible for data loss in guest accounts.
Plant Anywhere provides interactive garden planning tools across web, mobile, desktop, and gaming platforms, including but not limited to:
The Play Garden is a read-only demonstration garden containing content owned by Plant Anywhere. It is not user-generated content and is not transferable to your account.
The Service offers a free tier with limited features. Free-tier users may access basic garden planning tools subject to usage limits.
Paid plans (Monthly, Founding Member, Lifetime, One-Time Planner, and Credit Packs) are billed through Stripe. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees displayed at the time of purchase.
Monthly subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you are entitled to a refund due to a billing error or service issue, please contact us at plant@plantanywhere.net within 14 days of the charge. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Plant identification and diagnosis credits are included with paid plans and credit packs. Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods unless otherwise stated. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice of price increases before they take effect. Founding Member and Lifetime plan pricing is locked at the rate paid at the time of purchase.
From time to time, we may offer limited-quantity "Founding Member" plans at promotional pricing. These plans are subject to the following terms:
The free tier ("Sprout") is subject to usage limits, which may include restrictions on the number of gardens, plantings, AI identification credits, and access to certain features. Current free-tier limits are displayed on our pricing page. We reserve the right to adjust free-tier limits at any time. If you exceed free-tier limits, you will be prompted to upgrade to a paid plan to continue using the affected features. We will not delete your existing data if you exceed a limit, but you may be unable to create new gardens or plantings until you upgrade or reduce your usage.
All prices displayed on the Service are exclusive of applicable taxes. Sales tax, VAT, GST, and other transaction taxes are determined by your jurisdiction and are added at checkout. Tax rates may change due to changes in applicable law. Price locks on Founding Member and Lifetime plans apply to the base subscription price; applicable taxes are determined separately based on your location and current tax law.

Plant Anywhere offers free game mods and companion experiences for third-party platforms, including Minecraft Java Edition (via Fabric), Stardew Valley (via SMAPI), and Roblox. These mods are part of the Service. When using game mods, you additionally agree that:
If you use the Plant Anywhere experience on Roblox:
You retain ownership of content you create through the Service, including garden plans, journal entries, photos, forum posts, and AR screenshots ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.
The Service allows you to export and share garden screenshots, calendar images, and other visual content to third-party platforms (such as Reddit, WhatsApp, WeChat, Facebook, and others). When you use these sharing features:
When you use the augmented reality (AR) features to capture screenshots or recordings, those images are saved to your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit AR screenshots to our servers. AR screenshots may contain images of your real-world environment captured by your device's camera. You are solely responsible for any AR content you choose to share with third parties.
The community forums ("Ask The Community") and trade stalls are public features. Content you post in these areas may be visible to other users. You are solely responsible for the content you post.
We reserve the right to remove, edit, or restrict any content that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful, offensive, or otherwise objectionable. We are not obligated to monitor all user content but may do so at our discretion.
You may not post content that is illegal, harassing, threatening, defamatory, sexually explicit, promotes violence, or infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
The Service, including its design, code, graphics, crop database, simulation engine, AI models, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Plant Anywhere and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
The Service integrates with third-party services including, but not limited to:
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Third-party platform operators may change their terms, APIs, or policies at any time, which may affect the availability or functionality of our integrations with their platforms.

The Service provides gardening information and AI-generated recommendations for educational and planning purposes only. Plant identification, disease diagnosis, watering recommendations, fertilizer suggestions, companion planting advice, frost date estimates, and all other guidance provided by the Service are not a substitute for professional agricultural, horticultural, botanical, or mycological advice.
AI-powered features, including plant identification, disease diagnosis, thermal analysis, garden import, compost C:N ratio recommendations, fertilizer suggestions, and companion planting guidance, use machine learning models and algorithmic calculations that may produce inaccurate results. Do not rely solely on AI identification results to determine the edibility or safety of any plant, mushroom, or insect. Always consult a qualified expert before consuming or handling any wild organism.
AI-generated garden plans, import layouts, and planting recommendations are suggestions based on data models. They do not account for every variable in your specific growing environment. You are responsible for verifying that any AI recommendation is appropriate for your conditions before acting on it.
Weather data, frost dates, evapotranspiration calculations, and environmental recommendations are derived from third-party data sources and mathematical models. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. We do not guarantee the accuracy of environmental data or the suitability of recommendations for your specific location or conditions.
The Service may display data from hardware sensors (such as ESP32-based soil moisture, temperature, light, and humidity sensors) that you install and connect. Sensor readings are provided for informational purposes only. Sensor accuracy depends on your hardware, calibration, placement, and environmental conditions. We do not manufacture, sell, or certify any sensor hardware.
If you use the Service to control irrigation hardware (such as B-Hyve / Orbit sprinkler systems) or make watering, planting, or other gardening decisions based on sensor data displayed in the Service, you do so at your own risk. We are not responsible for:
You are responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, and operation of any hardware you connect to the Service. We recommend verifying sensor readings against independent measurements before making significant irrigation or planting decisions.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
AR features, including browser-based AR (WebXR) and native AR (ARKit/ARCore), use your device's camera and motion sensors to overlay digital content onto your real-world environment. When using AR features:
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PLANT ANYWHERE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, CROPS, OR PROPERTY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars ($50).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Plant Anywhere and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) Your Content; or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.
The Service allows you to share gardens with other users and assign roles (owner, editor, viewer). You are responsible for managing access to your shared gardens. We are not responsible for changes made by collaborators you have invited.
Your Plant Anywhere account may be used across multiple platforms, including the web application, iOS and Android mobile applications, the Steam desktop application, and game mod integrations. Your subscription status, garden data, and account settings sync across all platforms where you are signed in with the same account.
Some platforms require you to link your Plant Anywhere account to a platform-specific identity (such as a Steam account, Minecraft UUID, or Roblox User ID). When you link accounts:
A subscription purchased through one platform (such as Stripe on the web) is recognized across all platforms where cross-platform authentication is available. However:
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination:
You may delete your account at any time through the account settings in the Service, or by contacting us at plant@plantanywhere.net.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation by contacting us at plant@plantanywhere.net. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis; class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted.
Small claims exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court in the county where Plant Anywhere operates, if the claim qualifies for small claims court under that court's jurisdictional limits. For claims under $10,000 USD, we will bear the arbitration filing fees and administrative costs if the arbitrator determines your claim is not frivolous.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction whose mandatory consumer protection laws cannot be overridden by contract, nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those laws. Any dispute with a consumer in such a jurisdiction may be brought in the courts of the consumer's country of residence to the extent required by local law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" above and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plant Anywhere regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

If you access the Service through an app downloaded from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Plant Anywhere, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app. Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
If you access the Service through an app downloaded from Google Play, your use is also subject to Google Play's Terms of Service.
If you access the Service through the Steam desktop application, your use is also subject to the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Your Steam account credentials are handled by Valve; we receive only your Steam ID for account linking purposes.
The Plant Anywhere Garden Mod for Minecraft Java Edition is a free, independently developed mod. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang Studios or Microsoft Corporation. Your use of Minecraft itself is governed by the Minecraft End User License Agreement.
The Plant Anywhere Garden Sync mod for Stardew Valley is a free, independently developed mod. It is not an official Stardew Valley product and is not approved by or associated with ConcernedApe. Your use of Stardew Valley itself is governed by Stardew Valley's own terms.
The Plant Anywhere experience on Roblox is subject to Roblox's Terms of Use and Community Standards. In-experience purchases use Robux and are governed by Roblox's policies. The experience is not an official Roblox product.
